Hotham Hall is seeping in history and is well known for its visits by Sir Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden who both held speeches at the church hall during the Suez Crisis. It was later used as a music venue, and rock stars such as Rolling Stones and The Who performed there during this time.
Hotham Hall has since been converted into a large 3,003 sqft apartment which has been home to a number of well-known athletes, music producers, DJ’s and architects.
Set over two levels, the living space benefits from high ceilings and is comprised of a bespoke fitted library/study, a secluded gymnasium, and a dining area that leads onto a hand-finished Bulthaup kitchen and utility room.
The principal suite can be found at the South Wing of the apartment and features ample storage space and a large bathroom with separate shower. This room also has floor-to-ceiling windows which look out onto the property’s stunning landscaped garden.
The North wing boasts two further bedrooms and an additional bathroom. The space can also be used as a further suite should it be required. Each bathroom features Crema limestone slab work and Vola fittings.
Underfloor heating, Italian limestone and dark oak floors can be found throughout the property. Additionally, for those who love hi-tech features, there is a 7 zone multi-room Creston home automation system that can be controlled by an iPad or iPhone. There is also a 3 meter painted screen in the entertainment room that leads out to the South facing landscaped garden via large Crittall doors.
The garden surrounds the entire apartment and there are access points from the main two-level living space and entertainment room. This outside area features Italian limestone patio, a water feature that runs into the reflective pond, mature olive trees, bamboo and a cedar deck wood area. For those that drive, there is reserved off-street parking.
Hotham Hall is in a prime location and is a short walk to the River Thames and Putney High Street. There are also many local amenities to enjoy, such as an array of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping facilities.
