Studio Jayga Architects is a RIBA Chartered Practice founded by Abul Mahdi who is a chartered architect, registered with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) in the United Kingdom and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Mahdi has personally designed and built a village clinic in Bangladesh, a school and eco-tourism resort in Cambodia and worked on charity schemes in Tanzania, Haiti and the UK.

The word 'Jayga' in the Bangla language translates to 'Place'.
