Postmark, Farringdon, London

  • Comprising of over 681 new homes, Postmark is set to regenerate the area surrounding the Mount Pleasant Royal Mail Sorting Office in Farringdon

The sorting office was opened by the Queen Mother in the 1930s and is still in operation today (photo above), with the rail tunnels used to distribute post still underneath the development and to remain in place.

  • Signature Place (phase 2 of Postmark) launched in February 2020 which includes 109 new apartments for sale as well as new retail amenities and a luxurious ‘Wellness Centre’ for residents which includes an indoor swimming pool, ‘experience shower’ and gym, all of which have been expertly designed by Interieur London
  • Split into four phases, Postmark has been designed by four renowned architectural practices, each of which influencing the development’s architectural mosaic – Signature Place in particular has been expertly designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley
  • Postmark is due to complete in 2024 and spans across 6.25 acres of land, straddling across two London postcodes; WC1 & EC1 (meaning that Postmark is truly at the very heart of London)
  • Buyers have the choice of two distinct colour palettes to choose from when buying a home at Postmark; the traditional ‘West’ or industrial ‘East’ to reflect Postmark’s unique position in London. The ‘West’ palette reflects the traditional west end of London, while ‘East’ builds on the city’s industrial past. The scheme’s three-bedroom show apartment has been designed by Honky
  • Postmark will bring 22,942 sq footage of new retail and community spaces to the site, with 50% of Postmark dedicated to public realm and landscaped gardens

  • Designed by prestigious architects, Squire and Partners, architecture draws on the site’s industrial heritage.

Features from the original Victorian gasworks have been sensitively restored to create interest points throughout the site. A focal point at the end of the Central Gardens is a 26-storey metal-framed ‘campanile’ tower which reflect the industrial elegance of the development

  • Gillespies sought to link the gardens at Prince of Wales Drive with that of Battersea Park to create a streamlined experience for residents. The central gardens act as an artery at this development, with apartments overlooking the tapestry of flowers, trees and plantings below. The development’s eighth floor roof terrace has also been sculpted by Gillespies for residents to enjoy all year round
