Le Lay Architects specialise in contemporary design within historic contexts. We work on new-build residential and mixed-use developments on sensitive sites, refurbishment of private houses and conservation work to ecclesiastical and community buildings.

History
Established in 1970.

Based in Chelsea, Le Lay Architects has carried out work throughout the country, though principally in London and the Home Counties. The majority of work undertaken has been high quality residential work of all types, though in recent years developments have also included commercial office space, education and ecclesiastical projects. Many of the projects comprise new development within the grounds of listed buildings, on sites of architectural or historic importance and within designated conservation areas. The practice has experience in both landscape design and urban design, with much emphasis upon the context of any development.
